Photos of the One-Day Retreat in July

🌿 In the cool and refreshing atmosphere of July in Darwin, a solemn and serene day of Buddhist practice unfolded outdoors, graced by the precious presence of the venerable Sangha and the enthusiastic participation of numerous lay Buddhists and compatriots from near and far.

Under the gentle sunlight and the soothing sea breeze, the assembly attentively received profound Dharma teachings from the venerable monks and nuns, nurturing wisdom and cultivating loving-kindness. Each mindful step along the beach brought practitioners back to their true selves, fully present with every breath and every moment.

In addition, engaging educational and recreational activities contributed to a day of complete practice, filled with joy, peace, and happiness for all participants.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Northern Australia (VBA-NA), we sincerely pay homage and express our deepest gratitude to the venerable Sangha and all lay Buddhists for attending, practicing together, and contributing to building a strong, harmonious, and enduring Dharma community in this foreign land.

📍 At the International Buddhist Temple, Darwin

The young participants experienced a meaningful day of practice—listening to inspiring Dharma talks from venerable teachers, practicing mindfulness, paying homage to the Triple Gem, chanting sutras, and engaging in enriching Buddhist activities.

Their pure eyes, innocent smiles, and little hands respectfully folded before the Triple Gem spark a deep hope for a future generation filled with wisdom and compassion.

The Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Northern Australia (VBA-NA) sincerely expresses our heartfelt gratitude to all parents and lay Buddhists who supported and contributed to the successful completion of this retreat.

These are the photos from the monthly “Eight Precepts Retreat” held at the International Buddhist Temple in Darwin on April 19, 2025.

This was the second retreat of the year, held under the theme: “Practicing Loving-Kindness – Cultivating Energy for Physical and Mental Well-being.”

The Vietnamese Buddhist Congregation of the Northern Territory (GHPGVNBU) sincerely thanks all venerable lay Buddhists and compatriots from near and far for offering your precious time to attend, contribute your effort, resources, and heartfelt support in upholding the Triple Gem.

The upcoming May retreat will be held on May 10, 2025, coinciding with the Vesak (Buddha's Birthday) Celebration. We warmly invite all lay Buddhists to join us in this sacred ceremony to express gratitude to the Buddha and return to a place of inner peace.
